Treasure the moment
My father did not mind if I used his tools as long as I took care of them and PUT THEM BACK. Few things aggravated him as much as when I would not put his tools back. He had to fuss at me so many times, rightfully so. Today I get aggravated when someone uses the studio and things are not put back where they found them. My dad even made a big sign and put on his box of wrenches, “Please bring me home.” I did get much better about putting things back.
Today when I made this photograph I was trying out my “new” camera. I am so excited. I am sure my father got excited when he got new tools. My father is dead, and the wooden box he “re-purposed” to make a hanging tool box is decaying, the barn that was there when I was born is now falling in around it. The wrenches are still there, for now. I returned them Pa.
Photographed with my “new” Nikon D850, Nikon 50mm f1.4. As I am aging, I can not hand hold a camera as still as I could when I started, so the exposure was 1/500 at f/2.8 with and ISO of 2500. Noise is neglible in the 45 megapixel camera.
Treasure the moment, but do not try to hold on to it.
That is what the camera is for.
